About: We are holing a Mini event! These are why we call practices... well, practices. There practices for the events!

About: Local events are more lade back than regional events, as a result Arderyth Christmas Event age limits are more lax (min age 12). However, we will still aim to make it a Belegarth party! We are planing to include team tournaments, dueling tournaments, all out large scale battles, and hours of fighting.

We plan to hang out in full garb at a local restaurant across the street afterwards.

Age Minimum: 12 years of age.
Non-combatants can be any age
Waiver: In order to participate in the combat you must sign an Arderyth waiver. Players under 18 years of age must have a signed waiver by a parent or guardian.
Minimum Garb Requirements: Basic uniform is requested, but we know it is winter so warmth first. If you can not come up with anything, we will have some garb to loan on a first come first serve basis.

Dec 11 practice canceled! Sorry guys, it is just not looking good. I remember the days when snow was a rare site, and temperatures were rarely below -2 for christmas... Global warming indeed.

Practice is canceled today!

Well, the forecast is all over the place, early in the week it was going to be -9, yester day it said +3, now is says -4. Keep your eye on it. We council practices at -8 (weapons get to stiff and hirt and brake easier). Hopefully we will see you tomorrow.

IT looks like friday will be very nice weather. The festival of lights has taken over the park, but as long as we respect that we should be fine. There is always at least one field open, so we will have to figure that out on friday.

It will be cooling down again on friday, but still above 0c so should be pleasant enough. bring water, I plan to work hard!

It doesn't seem to be warming up to the required -8 degrees today. Besides, I have a few things for which I need to attend, so the practice is canceled.

Is anyone willing to brave the weather? I dare you to show up and FIGHT!

This is kind of short notice but you will need to bring your own food for the event. We may be having to much fun to care but if you do you will have to bring it yourself.

For the weapons building time on Friday please bring your money in $15 dollars blocks even if you want 2 swords because I can already tell you that if enough people show up that we won't have the quantity of swords for everyone to have 2. So please please please bring your money in 15$ blocks.

We are going to have a weapons building time form 2-4 before the main event. Everyone who wants to take home a weapon please bring $15. If you want to take two then the price will be $30. Also anyone who wants to do the event please bring your own supper or you might perhaps starve.

For the main event we will be doing weapons checks. Anyone who comes to the weapons building time will be taut how to do that. Also because of close calls we have had with head shots anyone who is found using an illegal weapon and/or shooting illegal head shots will be out for a game or until the person he/she hit is well enough to get back in the game whichever is longer.

We are proud to present The Invasion of Airderyth a Belegarth mini event. When: 4 p.m.-when it gets dark on Friday October 2nd. Were: Nose creek park in Airdrie. We are expecting to have allot of fun and beware to all invading forces for we will put up a staunch fight.

Okay so for anyone who doesn't know, Airdie is having a celebration for its Centennial and some of the celebration will be done in Nose Creek Park. It will be a great demoing opportunity for us so for anyone who is interested in such a thing show up at Nose Creek Park in Airdrie at 2 o'clock. We will be running for two hours. Please bring garb if possible.

Well last Monday's practice was a good one. We got a couple of people come by and try it out. We all had fun and relaxing evening. That said however on a whole we are not getting enough people to keep this practice going. The practice would eventually be canceled anyway because we would have sooner of later run out of daylight. So, in considering all of the factors the Monday practice will be canceled permanently until further notice.

Well, as so often happens in summer we all get busy and no one can run practices. I am out of town Zike has a broken arm, Darr has a funeral, and our Calgary friend Mog has a bad thumb. etc, etc. so I am going to say this friday there will be no practice! Sorry for leaving it so late!

Practice on Monday June 15 is canceled! There will be no practice as to many of us are tied up to make it. Sorry!

June 8th in place of the regular Airdrie monday practice. Regular practice runs 6:15-9:00 on the 8th. We will primarily be making short swords (about 20"). Any  extra we make will become loaner weapons for various realms (out of my and others pockets).

"Rain Rain go away, come again some other day that there is not Belegarth!" To sum it it "tut tut! It looks like rain on Friday!" But we will still be their and have a good old time!

Well, spring must have surly come! The weather is all over the place as is tradition!

Monday looks like we should be safe from rain but it may be cloudy. Dress warm and in layers to be ready. Also note that we are changing the times to 6:15 -8:15!

Well, we might get some minor showers on friday, but we won't let that stop us! If it is rainy just dress warm and we will practice under the picnic shelters! See you then!

Friday April 10th looks like we will have some fantastic weather! See you then!

Officially sunset was at 8:01pm on mar 27th in Calgary and it will be getting later each week. With the days getting longer it would be possible to run a practice from 6:00pm - 8:00pm on a weeknight in addition to our regular Friday ones. The idea is to have a practice outside common working hours, (9-5 Monday-Friday) in order to attract more adults to the group.

So here is the deal, on Monday, April 6th, we will have our first weekly practice! And it will continue every Monday after. If you like this idea, please be there on the 6th!

Well as the week goes on, and it gets warmer and warmer... they keep making Friday colder and colder... ATM they are saying -9 which would be a no go... :(

The next few days are supposed to be very cooled, and then it will get warmer toward the weekend. Right now Friday is sitting at -4, which is a go. Hopefully, if the weather man shifts the forecast friday will get warmer not colder.

I am sorry for the indecisiveness guys, but I am going to say no. Yesterday it looked butufull. But my mom and sister went walking and said it was freezing because of the wind. Where we live the trees shelter us so much there was no wind. Like right now. No wind, but weather canada said there is a -16 wind chill. And if I know nose creek park, it will be twice as windy as anywhere else.

Ok guys, I am going to be honest. It is is -7 out side right now, but the sun is shining and it is gorgeous. Yesterday, was beautiful as well. I am not sure I trust the weather forecast right now... It says Friday will be -9 or -10 and windy. So how about this, if it is windy and cooled tomorrow, no go. If it is really nice, yes for sure.

Well, it wasn't the balmy 6c we were promised last friday, but very cooled instead (Understatement? Yes). The forecast says it will be a high of -9c on friday, which is 1c under our limit. So unless it warms up by then (which I hope they do!) Practice is off for this friday (Sorry mog!).

In other news, our church is showing the movie FireProof at 7 on friday for suggested donation of 7.50 It would be worth your time.

We had a good turn out last friday, surpassed me for such a short notice change! Had a lot of fun, the forecast says it will be getting cooled toward the weekend, so watch your thermometers it might get to cold to play unfortunately.
